400ex or 250r fenders/ plastics on a 300ex

I was wondering if 400ex or 250r fenders/ plastics fit on a 300ex. I seen quads that it was done too but i was wondering what extra parts it will take or if they mount up really easily. Also what is the most reliable big bore for say a 330 or a 315
