your going to do mostly trail riding????

then this is just my opinion.......

dont get the 400ex, no reverse

dont get the raptor, has reverse... but not the best trail quad

GET the Z400(KFX400/DVX400) it does great in trails and has reverse, so I think you would be best of getting a Z. And plus it is fast also, so you will have it all:devil:

im with them, unless you really want a yamaha or honda. I suggest the yamaha warrior(350) or the 300 ex. I just bought a 300 ex and it is awsome. With a pipe and a few small mods, it will be perfect for the trails. You dont want to much power for trails, you want torque, and thats what the 300 ex gives you. I would take a look at one of them. Plus they are lighter than a 400.

Your light enough to be very fast on a 300 or 350 machine, are you mechanically inclined? honda's are very reliable and require mostly general maintenance. Although you may really like the new 350 raptor, I don't know alot about them though, seems to me they are a pretty warrior with better shocks. what size machine are your buddies riding? you'll what to keep up with the pack.

If u want to have a fast trail bike, no question about it, 400ex or z400, if u want to be fairly fast, i sujest the 250ex or 300ex, as they have reverse. Really... i dont know how many time people have to say this, dont let other ppl pick your quad, take them for a test ride, and pick what u want, and what u like. Its upto you, not exriders.com. :)

You are young, although you may have riden a 400ex have you "Ripped" on a 400? They are very powerful machines that can easily get away from you! they can even kill you. I would test ride a SYRUS suggested Try all types and sizes, If your an inexpieranced rider stay away from the overpowered machines until you gain more expierance. Just triing to keep you healthy and alive buddy!:D
