i have a 400ex. i have had it abotu a month or so. i had a reck on it and bent my stering stem about 3/4 the way up. i was wondering if there is any way i could bend it back or would i have to get a new one. I was thinking if i heated it up it would get week and next time i roll it over it would bend right back. any suggestions?

Get yourself a big pry bar and a couple of buddies and straighten it. I have done it a couple of times. Next time I think I will get a stonger piece of pipe. That or keep it on 4 wheels! :devil

I heat mine up and bend it back. Not sure if it weaken's it or not..but it's a lot cheaper than buying a new one....and oem steering stem is like 50 or 60 bucks. i bought one of those after i bent my steering stem really bad. if you have the money, buy an aftermarket one....but if you don't (like me) just keep bending it back.

I just ordered me a chrome houser +1 steering stem and clamp today. I have done bent 2 stock steering stems and Im tired of it. The stock steering stems suck.

Yup houser is one of my sponsors and as for pictures my bike is being put together as we speak I just got my frame back from powdercoating and still ordering stuff and waiting for it to get here. But as soon as its done I will get rico to come over with his digital camera and snaps some pics for me and I post them up. It should be done by the end of this month my first race is in april and I can't miss the daniel boone race and most of the nationals.

Pry 4stroke B....for now. But i raced against a guy that races 4strokeA and i beaat him...so maybe i should go with A. But the guy usually get's like 10th. My quad was stock, his wasn't even close.....but i hear he's more of a TT rider. Not really sure yet. I'm racing the expert class in my local series.

When it gets close you will have to tell me your Truck and Trailer Setup so I can find you. Are you doing anything to your Rear Shock?

I thought you were just getting the Fronts. You will have a Awesome Suspension Setup. I wouldn`t want to ride Red Bud without Top of the Line Shocks. There is some Huge Jumps. I don`t think Baldwin knows when he`s going to have the Shocks done. He just tells you something. About the same thing TC did to my brother. Hopefully you get them Soon.
