is it a 400 ex jug ? if so get ahold of eastcoast atv and get a set of the oversize studs drill the stud holes to 10mm and tap with a 12x1.25 tap screw in the studs with lock tight and reassemble just did it to my 440 and works great the stock studs are junk and these work real well jon

Doh! I have to change the jug studs also? I am building a 44oex and I'm just about to put the jug back on the bike! In fact, I already have the piston in the cylinder! Did your studs pull out, or did you just change them because you wanted to.:eek2:

Buy the heavy head studs and if you don't feel confident installing them yourself have a reputable machine shop do it for you. You can get them from about any 4 stroke engine builder.
