i recently bought a non-oring chain and sprocket set. i will say that i did this to save money. i am on a limited budget and thought it would be the same non oring or oring. my question is, should i go ahead and buy a o ring chain while my sprockets are brand new and not go with the non oring because i heard they will stretch out in one weekend and i don't want to buy another set of sprockets and chain when they wear out. please hurry because i am going on a ride this weekend.

i think it is worth the little extra money for the o ring chain they seem to last longer if you can return the non oring chain and upgrade that is what i would do

DO NOT RUN THAT NON O RING CHAIN!!!!!!!!!! it will be the worst thing u ever do. i strecthed mine 23 time in an hour, i know this because i had to keep adjusting every like 2 minutes. it would be the worst mistake on ur part to run that chain, get a did gold x ring chain, i just got mine from c&d, excellent chain!!!

dont worry about the xring crap..just get an oring...xring is a waste of money & the only difference is that it is more expensive & sounds cooler...

i just got a moose xring for like 90 bucks and it is the same as did only a bit cheaper it is actually made by did and jumbo the xring helps keep the grease in the pins by design orings will let it by more as there is no edge on the ring to keep the grease in and the xring has an ege on the ring

i never really believed all that crap but its probably true..I have no problem grabbing my chain scrubber & white lithium grease after every ride & going over my chain once...

the only thing lubing a chain really does is keep it from rusting the oring or x ring holds the grease in the pin area that is why they say not to pressure wash you chain and DONOT use any kind of wire brush on it jon

um sorry but u got ripped off paying 90 bucks for a moose chain, i got atv xring did from c&d for only like 60 or 70, and got all sprockets and 2 day air for exactly 117.
