Hey all, I just picked up some new goodies for the 4-hundo and wanted to get some opinions on how I should jet this thing for break-in.

Heres what I got:
2003 400EX
Wiseco 11.2:1 Hi-comp stock bore piston
Hot Cam stage 1
Stock rockers
Stock head-no port work/big valves
Slip on WB E-series running 8 disks and quiet core
K&N Air filter w/ outerwear - no airbox lid
Dynojet jetting, which before the Cam and piston was dead-nuts on.

Other than that, the rest of the powertrain is stock. Now, given these items and an elevation of about 10ft above sea level, what would be a good baseline jetting to put into this thing so as I can ride it for the recommended cam/piston break in periods? I run a 50/50 mix of 110 octane leaded and 94 octane unleaded, if that matters. If anyone can help me out, I'd be glad to buy them a case of the local finest brew if I'm ever out in their neck-o-da-woods. Anyways, Thanks in advance for the assistance.

i would start around a 155 or 160 dynojet. however, i have not used dynojets before. i was told this was a good starting place for your mods. i don't have a clue where to set the needle clip at. i hear people running them in the 3rd position. however, i am not sure if that is with the washer under the needle or not.

try a 155 or 160 dynojet and maybe 1 turn out on the air/fuel. and if thats ok u might try 1 notch down on the neddle.

i didn't mention this but i would probably go up to a 40 or 42 pilot jet. i assume your running the dynojet needle too?

Yep, I'm running the dynojet needle on gap 3 right now, with the fuel screw about 2 1/2 turns out and the 150 main jet, stock pilot jet. I haven't installed the cam or the piston yet, as I'm shipping out for a two week shift on friday. As soon as I get back, I'm going to try this stuff out. Thanks again for your help.
