Starting Out

New to the quad scene,wondering what quad should i be looking for,I will not be racing just trail riding mostly.......thx

400ex and if you need reverse get a kfx400 or the suzuki 400...if you really wanna spend some money get the new trx450 or the yfz450:D ....or if you only want something a lil cheaper go with the 300 good machine has many mods for it to

I know im probably going to get yelled at for this but I would say friend start with something liek a Blaster. ;) I hade a 1996 Blaster and they rip, and are like a bullet-proof 2-stroke. The other good thing is they are very affordable. You can eventualy work your way to a better quad when you have A. The money, or B. The skill. But i suggest Blaster!:)

300ex if you must have reverse....but I think you will want somthing bigger really fast. If reverse isn't a deal, 400ex;)

uuuhhhmmmmmmm....not a bad choice....unless if he doesn't want to mess with the two stroke mantience bullcrap then that will be good throw some stuff on there and it will be even better

I would go with a 400ex. Reverse is not a big deal, So what u have to push it back a little to turn it around in a trail.....
If u wanna spend a little more loot i would go Raptor or one of the 450s(either Yamaha or Honda)

get a craptor if you only going to ride in a straight line....the one time i rode one i personally liked it at first but then i kinda steered away from it...but it up to you man we are just here to help you out;)

UHH WTF are u talkin about, Only if you are gonna be riding in a Straigh line..... Raptors are very good in the trails. Don't give me that its too tipsy bull**** i hear all the time. My buddy has a worked raptor and the thing handles like a dream. if you can;t handle it just get a widened AXle thats all

i rode a raptor and hated it.......id take my 400 anyday over it. out of all the other quads ive ridden, even the kfx/z, id still take the ex. and you dont need reverse.....you can turn the thing around like nothing.

u better stfu. nothing wrong with aircooled. i can run mine high rev's all day with no problems. and i didnt mean u had to get off to spin it around....its called lean forward and stab the throttle while turning.....you can turn around in in just 5 feet.

Judging by your list, you're not really a newbie. I would suggest a Raptor, Predator or one of the 450's (or even bombardiar or gas gas if you can find a dealer). Don't skimp on the power because none of them have enough.

Well not for me, but then again I was spoiled by a Katana 600.
