Alrite well i know this might sound kinda dumb but im having a big problem getting on my new grips I just bought. They are the renthal soft compund grips and I also bought the grip glue to put them on. What i did was put the glue on the handlebar and then try to slide the grip on......Not good i got it halfway on and it wouldnt move anoth inch so i had to take it off.....I dont know what to do to make this grip go on all the way should i put the glue on the handlebar and then windex or somthing slippery on the inside of the grips to make it go on farther because it wouldnt move at all with the grips dry on the inside and the glue already on the handlebar:confused:

Trash that glue! Get yerself some spray paint(clear is better). Spray the bar and the inside of the grip and slide it right on. Let it dry over night. I suggest using safety wire also, but the paint will work great!;)

i dunno kinda stupid but i was thinking maybe there was air inside that cant get out and it is just pressured and wont go no further...maybe poke a hole with a tiny pin...or heat up the grips a bit and they will expand then slide them on

put the glue all over ur area that ur grips are gonna go on and then squeeze it in ur grip. Then slide on. Let dry. Then get ya some wire and put 3 strands on one at the end middle and beggining. ull be set.

I'd go with Jingle on this one. Just put the glue on both surfaces, make sure you smooth it out, don't just glob it on. Do what Jingle said and it should work like clockwork.

I have never put wire on any of my grips, and I have never had a problem with them comming off... But I know some people have a problem with it.

*Best way to do grips!* Just put masking tape on each end of the bar, and then put gas on the grip, and let it sit for a while. It works awsome for me!;)

I always use a little electrical tape and some spray paint and after a few hrs, they are on for life:cool:
