Motor noise on my 400ex HELP!

I was ridin my 400ex around the other day, and it is making a vibration noise coming from the right side of the motor, its not the valves, I just got done with them, and I checked all of the bolts, they are all tight. is there something in the motor that can be causin this noise.. there is no power loss

I think you'll be fine,,,there's been many many post out here about peoples motors makin funny noises,,but yet we never have problems,,the 400ex engine does make all kinds of weird noises but it's a common thing..

Several of the engine noises turned out to be skid plates rattling. Might be something to check.

I was thinking it might be the skid plate too, I didnt get to check it yet, Iwill tonight tho, thanks for your help

I think the skid plates really amplify the noise and vibrations of the motor. I put some foam tape between my skid and frame. It helped, but its still louder than it was.

Did you happen to check your heatshield bolts to see if they're tight? I had mine come loose once and really made alot of noise.

Also check your front break lines...somewhere near the a-arms they run through some clamps, and there's supossed to be rubber bushings on them, but the bushings can move out of place and then the steel lines can rattle or vibrate, happened to me once.
