I think it did. The YFZ is more suited to hard riding...In stock form the 450R is more of a leisure bike. Its a little high, and a little narrow.

hate to break it to all of you honda fans but yfz is better....450r has to light of a front end and it sorta of like a kfx or something with its high stance...jmo...i think its much better at hard core xc not mx..

i dont know but does it seem to anyone else like the r is winnin alot more races even when there is more yzf's in the race......I still think yamaha won on looks though

well i think yamaha out did it in looks , but the R , in my opinion is better for trail, while the yfz is better for track and mostly flat areas, but hey we all have r own opinions!

Just wait & see how many GNCC pro's are going to switch over when they can get all the aftermarket parts & testing on the 450R complete,they will dump there YFZ's for Hondas :) Just me opinion.

ive ridden both, i rode a 450r last weekend and it felt faster and fel like it had more pull stock but ive ridden yfz's too and i like the handling and overall composition of the stance better, and a pipe sure does open them up

I haven't ridden them yet, either. But from what i've read in ATV Action's shootout between them, the Yamaha is faster. What they don't bring up is the Maintenance issue. I know the YFZ is a s.o.b. to adjust valves on. I don't know what the procedure on the Honda is yet. The Honda will prolly end up being a longer-lasting engine between rebuilds, if they hold true to their old standards of quality. Just my 2 cents!
