Is it normal for the chain to jump a couple of trowing it out of time. What should I do buy a new chain or reset using old chain. How can I prevent this from happening again.:confused2

The old chain will just keep jumping time so why not buy a new one? Did make a HD one that is around $50.

You need to get a new chain, and maybe replace the chain sliders if they are all chewed up. It will just keep jumping time if you dont replace it. It will be much easier to replace it and be done then retiming it all the time.

Before you go and replace your chain make sure your cam chain tensioner is working properly. If the tensioner doesn't ratchet out properly and keep your chain tight enough, a new chain isn't going to fix anything. If the tensioner is alright, then go ahead and replace the chain and check the sliders for scoring.
