I tore both my acl and mcl completly inhalf, tore anterior and posterior cartilage and chipped a bone on the joint of my knee while wakeboarding. I am going tell you that it sucks and your doctor is correct. It took me a year and a half before I was 100%. It will depend if you tore it in half or not. If you did, it will have to be replaced with a piece of your own tendon or a ligament from a cadaver. Sorry

I did mine snowboarding.
I had mine replaced Jan. 2000 and it wasn't too bad I reached 90% in 5.5 months because I did my rehab just like they showed me, hopefully you have access to a gym or PT gym. Don't slack off on your PT.:grr: Give it hell and listen to your Physical Therapist. The first 2-3 weeks really suck.

BigD,
Sure am sorry to hear that and will keep you in the prayers. Luckily I have'nt experienced it so I can only offer encouragement....keep your chin up....and the kicker is you did'nt even do it racing!!!! If you need someone to keep the rust off your 450, let me know:D
Best of luck

sorry to hear about that wayne. i've never torn mine, but a couple guys here at work have. all a can tell you is to get a good dr. and listen to what he/she tells you. like the others have said, you need to keep up with your PT, but don't over do-it. no riding or racing for awhile, no matter how good you think it feels. thats a sure way to reinjur it. good luck.

One more thing, wear the brace that you'll most likely get. I still wear mine when I snowboard.

Oh ya, nothing better than a six inch needle getting jammed and crammed in your knee.

Might be less painful if they just cutt it off and smack you over the head with.

Jeez, 40cc's is you skin blue yet?
