Is anyone besides Yamaha (Barnett, etc...) selling clutch plates for the YFZ450? Which are better, aftermarket or stock Yamaha?

Thanks.

My experience has led me to believe that stock plates in almost all applications are better than aftermarket and way way way better than Barnett.

I know stock is better when it's Honda. Just wasn't sure if same holds for Yamaha. The YFZ is definitely improving my opinion of Yamaha though.

none of my friends have had good luck with aftermarket plates nor have i. this goes for quads, dirtbikes, street bikes, etc.. some things are just better left stock and the clutch is one of those things i believe that about.

The only plates that I have ever bought that have the same or better feel as stock would be DP, White Brothers, or Moose. I know the Moose plates are made by DP - Same specs. The White Brothers look like DP too - they may be the same also.

Does anyone know if the YFZ & YZF plates are the same? Just talked to DP and they said that the YFZ kits are not available yet and he was unsure if the YZF are the same or not.

I agree with Rippin, use the stock plates. However, if you want an aftermarket setup, I'd suggest the GYTR setup (it's made by Hinson).
