I have a 416 high compression piston with a hotcam stage 1 and was wondering if i had to take out the decompressor pin??

the mechanism is on the cam. I done remenber taking anything else out but the cam

TAKE OUT THE PIN AND THE SPRING. YOU DONT NEED IT IN THE ENGINE. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ROLL YOUR QUAD ANT IT LANDS UPSIDE DOWN, IT MIGHT FALLOUT OF THE HOLE AND GO THROUGH YOUR ENGINE AND MESS A LOT OF INTERNAL PARTS UP.:) THAT WOULD REALLY SUCK

uhh oh. I dont remember taking any spring or pin out. Is this on the cam? Or is it near the cam.

its in the head. it is a plunger and spring. i think that is what the manual calls it. they are small. follow the manual and you will be fine.

in your head under your cam by the decompresser there is a pin and a spring. this is not needed with hotcams

A wire closehanger works just right for getting it out:D
