i have a 400ex with stock rear shock and elkas up front and i do MX. since i got the elkas my front end sits alot lower than the rear so i was wondering i got a lowering kit would there be any disadvangate? are they reliable? which should i get and about how much are they? thanks

lowering kit=not good for jumping etc. only good for flattrack.;)

Just send you rear to the quadshop or another elka dealer and get it matched up to your fronts. Deffinatley stay away from the rear strut lowering kits. They make your rear shock work like chit. Unless your flat tracking then there fine.


Edit: The gt thunder strut will work if you stick with 20 inch rear tires but you need gt thunder to rework your rear shock to keep it from bottoming out if you jump.

no that was not designed for mx and would be the worst thing you could ever do to your bike
