View Full Version : Moding a stock exhaust

I read how you guys are drilling holes in your silencers so I got a spare one to do this. When I took the end cap off and saw that baffle I wondered why not just mill it out instead of drilling it? Is the baffle there for any other reason than to restrict? (like support or something) Thanks.

I did the exhaust mod. I think the sound is good and it runs better.... I haven't ridden it much yet or rejetted it. Anyway, one of the guys here, talked about using a arc welder with a small rod, turned way up to blow through the inner wall of the canister. He blew all his out and said it was a little noisy. I just blew a 1.25 or so jagged hole in mine. Piece of cake. Careful rewelding the can back together on the front of it... the metal is thin!
