It won't hold up very long at all. You would probably chip the chit outta it the first time out. Get them powder coated. It's more expensive, but will last a lot longer.

well this summer i am getting a powdercoating gun, so i don't really want to pay to have them coated when this summer i can do it for alot cheaper. i am saying my a-arms are really pretty nasty right now. would they last a little while if i double coated them and then clear coated them??

Couldn't tell how long they would last, just give it a try I guess. I wouldn't think they would last very long though, my buddy did his frame that way and you can hardly tell he did anything to it now.

i painted my bumber and its already chipping, i got towed out by a sled on the river a while ago, and theres no more paint aroudnt he welds, and the front is all chiped, it looks like ****..

im guessing aarms would be worse

I painted my a-arms, just because i didnt have another choice unless I wanted to spend and get new a-arms. The 1t few days it wasnt worting out well because it wasn't dry enough. But so far I havn't got any more chips or anything, it's been almost 3 months, given all the weeds are not here because thre winter, but they are holding up. If you do spray em, make sure to prep em very well and put a good durable paint on with a few clear coats. Good luck with what ever you do-darren

double coat with paint and then put some clear coat over top. mine has held up pretty good for about 3 months.

the places i ride don't usually have to much brush so i might go ahead and paint them for now until i get my powdercoating gun so they look better than they do.

i spray painted my a-arms and they are holding up really good. First i sprayed my with that truck bed coating, its in a spray can from walmart. Then i sprayed over top of that because i figured it might stick better to that coating. then i did many coats of clear.

They will hold up awhile especially if you have a-arm skids. Just clear coat them after.

Mine are also painted & we clear coated them a few coats & they actually have held up well. They are in need of new paint now but they made it thru a flattrack season good especially for all the dirt that got threw up @ them!! I was thinking of using the truck bed liner stuff also the next time I do them, just think it would be something different.
