i was riding alot of wheelies today and i stood it up alot and i looked at my little pink think under my airbox and my airbox was full of gas.:confused: y is that any one know?

uhh...What little pink thing?:huh

If you have gas in your airbox I'm guessing you have a leak somewhere, did the engine bog down or shut off when this happened? I haven't heard of gas coming out the carb through the wrong way into the airbox...and I do a lot of straight-up wheelieing...

ya that little pink think under your airbox, there might not be one on a z tho, i think its a honda thing

That little pink thingy is your drain plug for your air box num nuts. It's to drain out fluid that is in airbox, like water. It probably isnt gas. I've had some in my box, just water that smells like gas(trust me im not stupid it just does) i dont know why. not a problem. plus if you over oil ur filter sometimes it leaks down too and that gets down there. dont worry about, it shouldnt be a problem.

1. I don't have a Z, I have a 400ex.
2. It could be the oil from your K&N Filter, that stuff smells similar to gas or some type of fuel, so that could've confused you.

i od on oil and it smells like gas everytime...dun worry about it and make sure you take that "pink thing" off and drain it a couple times

When I wash my quad I prop it up on the grab bar and sometimes I forget to turn off the fuel petcock. Gas goes out of the overflow hole in the back of the carb, through the air filter, and into the airbox. I don't see how it could be the air filter oil because it has more weight than gas and wouldn't run off of the filter:rolleyes:

ok think about it u have tube that runs straight through and ur barb is there and it puts gas out. of couse its gonna smell like gas.

cant it be from the crankcase breather? i thnk i got some oil into the airbox once through that on the recon from wheelieing it so much.....
