Thanks for the replys. I just put 2 quarts of mobil 1, new oil filter and a uni airfilter. Seems to run great. Have to put the plug in tonight. Got dark on me last night and I wanted to ride a little.

Anyway on my 300ex the plug is simple to change. I have heard storys about changing the plug in a 400ex. Hope it's not as hard as you guys say. I'll find out tonight when I get off work.

Went home at lunch changed plug in 5 min. went riding and now back to work. LoL. It is a tight fit in there but not too difficult. I use Metwrench...may have seen them on TV. Works for both standard and metric applications. Next step will be to adjust the valves.........

If you didn't get the book with your quad make sure when you are changing the oil that you pull the little screw on the side also so it ALL drains out... then when you fill it back up you should use basically 2 quarts.. I borrowed a pic from ex to show you.

when you refill it......put about 1.5 quarts in the reservoir tank, then start the bike for a few seconds. shut it off & add the last .5 quart. if you dump 2 quarts in all at once it will run out of the tank.
