Hey guys I am making my own skid plate up and my 400ex is all in pieces right now so I was wondering if someone would be willing to give me a measurement. I want to know what the distance from the ground to the very rear bolt hole for the skid plate mount is. I hope that makes sense. Oh with stock size tires please. I want to know so I know what kind of ground clearnce I can make.

I will definately post some pics of it when I am done, it should be pretty decent. I am in a manufacturing course in college and I have always been into this kinda stuff. Hope someone can help.

Thanks, later

i dont think that would work, since isnt the brake rotor and rear sproket alot lower then the bolt?

I am just using that spot as a reference point.

Awsome, thanks. Now I can figure out by subtracting the height of metal I will cut from that # and that will be close to my ground clearance, if that makes sense. Like if the metal I cut goes down 2" from that point for my disc and sprocket I will have 4.5" of clearance.
