Should I buy it or not! please help

ive been looking for a new ride for a while i wanted something with more potential than my 250ex so i found a 2002 300ex in the paper i called the guy and it has a white bros E-series complete exaust, K-N power kit, it was bored .30 over. and has a revbox, all the motor work was done by the honda shop, everything else is stock, He is asking 3,000 what do yall think ( only 2 tanks run through since motor work) i think its a good deal im 15,5'9,130 pounds. Do yall think it is worth it i need to know by tomorrow. please post what you think i ride mostly trails dirt roads and i jump alot (i have a track with a 30ft table top and some doubles 15 and 25).

you can get a 400ex for 3,000$ in most places, but if you like it I would go for it. I mean the 300ex has a lot of potential and there are a lot of aftermarket for it now. Your 15 so you could always get a new/better quad in a few years..

go for a 400ex. a 250 to a 300 will be like a baby step higher. u will get bored of that quickly too

i got my 400ex right when I turned 16 & i weighed the same as you & everything..go for the 400ex...you could get a decently modded one for $3k

yea if the budget aint to low then i would highly recommend you get a kfx/z400 but other than that i would go for that 300 because i really like having reverse..........im 14 5''8 and 130 and i havea kfx400 and i ride mostly the same as you except i dont do too much jumping

people just use the word "need" because its shorter to type.

reverse is a nice little luxury, i could do with or without it.

budget is limited to 3,500 thats what i got im givin my 250ex to my little bro he is gonna be 12 on tuesday and thats my gift

Go with the 400.


The 300 will get boring pretty quick.

For 3,500 you could get a nice 400ex. But I still ride my 300ex every now and then when the R isn't running, and I have a great time on it. If you are set on reverse I would go with it. If reverse isn't a must the 400 would be worth looking into.

Yep, nice little luxury for backing out of the garage and for those with no foresight. Reverse is overrated.

Doing reverse doughnut burnouts on wet cement is amazingly fun. Also I used to use reverse on my old quad a whole lot. From backing out of creeks to pulling people out backwards. I like reverse. if I ever save up enough for a z400 I will get one.

i ride really tight trails & reverse has never been needed for me..it would be nice in some situations but im not gonna spend hundreds of more dollars on another quad if it had it oir something...i used to have a trx300 4x4 & I used the reverse all the time when it was there...i was also scared when I got my400ex without reverse but i never need it.

lets see, it take a whole 2 sec to put my quad in reverse. if that doesn't work i have to get off my quad anyways.

like i said, i don't need it. but it's nice to try and if it gets me unstuck, i didn't have to get off my quad to get back to riding.

the only used anything in the papers is that 300ex no 400s or anything i gonna look some more does anybody have one for sale that any of yall know within the surronding states

If you want reverse get a 300ex, there is nothing wrong with em, and theyre more fun than a 250ex.

I FOUND IT A 400EX WITH AN EXAUST (ALL MY DAD SAID IS THAT IT WAS A 2 INTO 1 PIPE) , A K-N FILTER, AND SOME OTHER GOODS LIKE BARS AND STUFF THE GUY STARTED IT UP FOR MY DAD AND HE SAID IT WAS PRETTY LOUD BUT IT SOUNDED AWSOME AND THERE WERE NO STUTTERS IT RAN GREAT ITS A 2000 MODEL AND HE ONLY WANTS 2,800:eek2: AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT WE ARE GOIN TO GET TI TOMORROW THANKS FOR THE HELP YALL STEERED ME INT HE RIGHT DIRECTION
