removing air lid and spark arestor??

when i take these off (air lid and spark arestor) out of my 250ex would i need to re jet??i thought that i would have to re jet and bought a rejet kit but my friends dad say i might need to...i think it does but what do you guys think???

definately rejet. my 400ex was slower when i removed the lid and didn't rejet.

when i took the end cap off my 400 when i looked at the spark plug it was perfect......honda always jets them a little rich but i know a kid that said it spits and sputters with the end cap off on his 250. i wouldnt bother taking the lid off unless you get a aftermarket pipe seeing that youll have to rejet.

buy a jet kit, you'll need it anyways if you continue modifying the powertrain

Buy a jet kit and air filter, and a pipe. All three are good.
