I would say the axle/a-arms should be as even as possible but that's how we have ours for dunes. I've rode bikes with stock width a-arms and an extended axle and I personally don't think it's comfortable. IMO they should be even...Later

Mine's slightly wider in the rear compared to the front and it doesn't give me any problems..

On stock quads, the rear tires are usually a little wider than the front, and I would imagine they do this for a reason. I wouldn't deviate from this by much, I don't suggest a +4 axle and stock-length a-arms.

I agree w/ wilkin250r, slightly wider is no big deal when talkin around an inch or so (in favor of the rear) but if you have a +4 axle with stock a-arms it is a terrible setup, I ran this at a few local tracks because I had bent an a-arm, so I had to put the stock arms on. When going into a rutted corner the rear end would grab first diving the front end in and itd wasnt as stable as it could have been. Maybe if you were just in a flat field it would be alright

If you are debating whether to get the front end done first or the rear end buy the front shocks and a-arms

Personaly, I have 3 over arms, with a +4 axle. After adding in the wheel difference, it's pretty much the same front to back. I'de say keep it close. If you go plus 2 in front, match it in rear.

the wider front will be better than havin a wider rear, but it couldnt hurt to pick up an axle sometime, they have been going for pretty cheap lately, last night a rpm on ebay went for $190 +shippin :eek2:

Muff's right -- wider front is better. Remember that the stability of a quad is in the front and not the rear. So a wider front makes you more stable. Also, you'll turn faster if the front is slightly wider than the rear. Give it a try and you'll be surprised.
