Hey, I got a few questions.

I have a back tire on my 300 that's pretty much shot (I had a big stick go right through it.) I wanted to go with 20's with either Razr's or Klaws. Which tire u guys think is better? And should I stay with 22's on the back? And If I get 20's on the back, am I gonna have like 2 inches of ground clearance beneith the skid? And I know this should be in powertrain, but what size front sprocket would i put on the front for the 20 tires.

Thanks

:)

you def. want to use a 20 inch rear tire, personally, i like holeshot xc's, but thats all personal opionion. and use a 14 tooth front sprocket to get back to stock gearing (wont be right on, but it will be pretty close)

Hey Thanks!

But, do I also need to get a bigger chain with the bigger sprocket in front?

No you wont need a new chain. I run razr's and i love them, I had 20's on my 300 and the worked great. I had the 6 plys and the wear great, they seem to last a long time. They also hook up well in all terrains.

If you ride rocky trails go with 22' rears, bolth razors and klaws are good tires. I have 6PLY razor fronts and 6PLY klaw rears. The klaws are awsome and cost less to.. What ever you get I would recomend the 6PLY for trails.

Hey Thanks!

I ride on a track a lot, not really on rocky trails. And, will the 20's make my ground clearance like 2 inches in the back?

I have only run 22's but all my riding is on the trails, I plan on getting 20's for some different rides to try them out. I guess a little more riding skill will be involved not to get stuck with them. Anyway get the 6 ply for strength but they do bring along some increased weight. 20's will make you 1 inch less clearance.

Yea, get rid of your 22s as fast as you can. I put on 400EX rears (not sure what size, but they're much smaller) and the quad is way more fun. Yes you do have less ground clearance, but also lower center of grav. That's more fun, plus, your quad will hook up a lot harder (faster) out of corners. (PS, red you'll be ok about getting stuck since you'll actually get a little bit of low end from the smaller tires)

I'll definatelly go with the 6ply 20's and a 14t front sprocket. Probably Klaws because i hear nothing but good things bout them, and they are a little cheaper. Thanks for all the responses.

I have been running the razr for over two years in the GNCC, this year I switched to the razr 2. I have had one race on them and I will not be switching back. Yes, I think they are that good. 20 inch. is the way to go. The faster you hit a mud hole the easier you get through, and with 20's the 300 will handle much better.

actually even though the stock says 22s they are closer to 20s cause ive got 22 rear klaws and they are huge ive got 6 inches of ground clearence now...

Did you go to a 14 tooth?

No. If you put on the 14 tooth, than you'll only get a little bit of low end thump from smaller tires. It should be noted that I'm probably a lot lighter than all of you (125 on a good day) so my gearing setups are going to produce different results.
