Today was the first day of thier season, and it was some great weather for riding. Today was just open practice. I was expecting some quads to show up, but i was the only one there.

A fair amount of bikes showed up so i snapped a few pics.

There really isnt too many jumps, and all could be done on a quad

The hare scrambles course is pretty damn rugged. If you want to practice for a gncc here is your place.

Pappy

the course is rocky on one side...and full of rutted offcambers on the other. i had a blast riding them

Looks like a good time. My buddies and I (d-7 xc racers) have been to a couple practices at tomahawk. It is a fun track to play around on and the xc track is real good practice. I was hoping to have my quad put back together so I could make it up there this weekend, but that didn't happen. Maybe next time. I'll definitely be there for the harescramble on the 28th.

There were around 75 riders on Sunday and a lot of quads...

Tomahawk will be open for practice every weekend from now until late fall.

Thanks again Pappy for coming out and letting me ride a quad again....you will be in trouble if my Fiance' finds out who you are....after a little accident last year I promised I wouldn't ride sport quads anymore....Now I want to race again and she is pissed!

How rough is the tomahawk HS loop compared to the Rausch loop?

I have never been to Rausch, but the HS layout is pretty nice at Tomahawk. It has a few rough spots, but overall it has a good variety of terrian. You will have high speed motocross sections and all different types of woods terrian. There will be off cambers, tight sections and some fast single track. I personally think it is the best track on the District 7 schedule. It is much better then the Budds Creeks wide open trails.

You should come out on the 28th....Cletus needs some more four strokes to run againist!!!!!

Yeah. . . What I really need is to get this quad together and get some seat time on it. I'm thinking about maybe heading up to Tomahawk one day this weekend. Riding somewhere a little different than normal.

You better get your hired mechanic over to finish up the work!!!!

Tomahawk sounds good to me for riding this weekend.

Yeah I gotta call the "mo-kanic" about that other subframe, but I got the engine, front end, swingarm, and some other stuff on so i should be good for this weekend.

seatec-
the hs loop at tomahawk is great. I love it, it has a little bit of everything. But all in all its not to rough and i think rausch is prolly a lil worse. I think its a great track to practice at cuz thats prolly the only one in d7 that we do, and thats only cuz its the same distance as foot of the mt and its alot nicer lol
