Why is the 400ex clutch so stiff?
I've ridden craptors and z40's and theyre all much much lighter then the 400's
Are all hondas like this?
Are all 400ex's like this? or is it jsut mine ??

Is there anyway to lighten it up?
I know a hydro clutch would, but i dont want to drop 200-300 bucks on one either..

If you haven't replaced your cable, spend a few bucks and it will make a difference. I thought just keeping it lubed would be good enough but when I finally replaced it I was suprised.

almsot all other quads are easier to pull then mine...

yfz,raptor,z400,dvx400...

with the yzf and stuff i can pull it with one finger.. and while doing that i have way better control..

will JSUT a new cable fix this ??
why is it so stiff anyways?

my cables keep stretching after about 24 hours of riding...after it stretches I can adjust it back out but it is very difficult to pull also...i dont know why they are so stuff but a new cable helps alot...they are also only like $13.00 at the dealership so they aren't that expensive....just dont get the motion pro cables b/c they are too long & you have to use spacers in your mounts & stuff to get them to work right...thats how all of mine were & they ere for the right application

i was told that a new cable along with a RTC lever makes the pull much easier. however, the lever is around $50 itself.

check this out. i think it was installed on a 300ex.
