is the xr 400 and the trx400ex clutch the same, ive read other threads and everyone sed that the plates are beefier, i need a new clutch prettybad and im selling it soon so i need one fast and rockymountain has the xr400 tusk one in stock, so i was wondering if i could sand down the old plates and use those and just use the disk things from the new kit

it has a few hours on it so its not brand new. however, it is in great condition and of course no blue color fading from heavy use. i took it out of my bike as my first mod and i added a sparks clutch. let me know if you want it. thanks cal

How do you like the sparks. Is it a big difference over stock?

i do like my sparks clutch for racing. if i did't get on a track much or if you didn't slip it much, i would get the stock one again. with the sparks you need to slip it a bit more in order for it not to die on take offs unless you dump it. the pull isn't much harder than stock.
