gust got done rebulid. now need to get the piston comming at the right time. i gust need to get clarity on what mark do i need to line up on the left side case and how the cam should go

96 300ex



ps: also while im hear, im going to do a search but for now what
are the tork specks for the bolts in the head

to get the piston at top dead center, put the flywheel mark on the "T." this is where it needs to be set for the timing to be correct.


if your talking about the 8mm bolts on top of the head cover, i am not sure of an exact torque but it should be less than 10 ft/lbs i have a feeling.

some people prefer to pour oil in the valve cover caps so it isn't running initially before oil is pumped up there. don't let it sit and idle when you first start it. i would go out and run it through the gears varying the rpms. also, change the oil before you get too much time on the bike.

got it putting and running for a lil this week ill tork every thing down right. put a new chain bars on , put all the plastick and every thing els on it and be done. thanks but i think ill need a new starter soon
