I recently bought some TT tires with wheels and was given some 250r 12" TT shocks that are a little soft. The previous owner thought they were "Dean Martin" shocks, but was not sure. They look like a pretty old shock, with an all chrome body and spring. Has anyone ever heard of these shocks, & How can I tell if they are rebuildable?

I will post some pics of them tomorrow.

Those are stock shocks that have been modified to use a shorter spring.

So they are not rebuildable then right? They are 12" from eye to eye, how is the mod done?

Thanks

Correct, they are not rebuildable. They cut the shaft down, install a short spring and spring retainer then weld the eye back on.
