I picked up a full Sparks exhaust for my 450 yesterday. Pipe is ceramic coated and looks trick! Fit and finish was 2nd to none, everything bolted up nice. Jetting specs from Sparks were a 190 main jet, 50 pilot, 2 turns out on fuel/air mix screw, and airbox lid off. We didnt use the 50 pilot jet but everything was done and this pipe really brought the engine to life. It really pulls on the bottom end and midrange. Sounds frickin' evil too! Nice loud rumble and sounds awesome with the fast revin' motor. I was unable to get a filter yet but I'm going with either a K&N or Sparks filter ASAP. I think most racers at the amateur level will be able to pull the holeshot or be in the top 3 easily. I was able to pull 2nd place and 3rd place in the start at the local races last weekend with stock pipe/jetting. Only quads ahead of me both races were a nice YFZ(pipe, filter, etc) and a 265R powervalve. Anyways, this pipe is a nice mod for the Honda! Here are some pics.......

Hey I got to ride one at the dealer yesterday that had a Sparks pipe, port and polish and the hrc cam and that thing made killer power all over. They was running a 195 main until they could get some bigger ones in. It run so hard I can't stand not having one now.

Does it hit the 96dB level? BLM is starting to really crack down on the noise around here.

Hey, I just got it home from my friends house, he put the Sparks cam, full exhaust and air fliter kit on it. We are using a HRC airbox lid from another guy who just wants to run his open. It ended up needing a 190main jet in it and she screams.
From the bottom it pulls REAL HARD right up to top end in my opinion. Sparks cam is more of a bottomend/midrange cam, but top is improved over stock also.
I just got to ride it in on the road, and in a flat field tonight but it really rips compared to stock.
I'll get a better impression this weekend when I ride. I'll give ya a better report then.

P.S.
I didn't go with the ceramic pipe from sparks, I got his stainless!
THE HEADER TURNED GOLD AFTER IT GOT HOT!!! Looks Bad*****

Does anyone think that a HMF slip on with a k&n jetted to a 185 without the air box lid is too much? It seems to run great and it doesnt over heat or anything..just seems that the jet is too big for as little as what i have done to the quad.

I ordered the sparks air fliter and jet kit for my bike. The jet consisted of a 180,185, 190, 195 and a needle. I cut the airbox lid so that it looked like the HRC lid, and I installed the HRC pipe endcap. Anyhow sparks told me to use a 185 with my setup and 190 with their full exhaust. The bike runs great with the 185!! No bog at all, so what I would say to you is that stick with the 185, especially if it is running good!!
