I've never heard of theat being a problem before. I'd just sugest re-routing the cable line. If not try wraping it with tin foil. I know that'll work.

You need to bend the brackets so that the cable doesn't come in contact with the head pipe. Find a shop that works on race cars and ask them for a short piece of spark plug wire sleeve. Moroso, MSD, many sell it.
