Just a quick question. Does anyone know if you can use the TRX450R clutch lever with a CRF450R perch or do you need to use the whole CRF assy. to help clear the "clutter" on the left handlebar after removing the E-Brake?

I have a 400EX and used the XR400 assy. with no problem. Just wondering if the cross of the new bikes (the TRX and CRF) will be the same. :)

Thanks for any input!

There is an old post fro me down a few pages forward that helped me out big with this. My shop sold me the works connection for the CRF450 but I haven't installed it. We may have to order a small part to get the hot start cable on correct. I'll go and get some info. for you:)

O.K. Look on my post "Suggestions on clutch perch?" Page 4.
The boys came through "on the clutch" for me there. O.K. That was a lame joke.:p

Depends if you want to keep the hot start lever in the stock position or not.
You could just change the clutch perch and leave the hot start lever alone.

I think he might want to get rid of the light switch and everything. Keep it real simple. I want to eventually do that. Set it up like my cr124 with just a small kill switch and clutch perch with hot start. Whats your set-up?:)

Well I got a CR250 perch for mine and the lever doesn't work with it. The TRX lever is much thicker. So I just got all the rest of the parts for the CR250 lever. I left the hot start in the stock location.

if you use the crf450 perch like me, you will have to use the crf hot start cable, i think, i havent worked on mine in the last few days so i havent checked.

Ok, so, if I get the whole assy. (CRF) then remove the old clutch lever, perch, and parking brake, then I can have that "cleaned up" and it (should) work fine.
The hot start lever on the lights and such isn't really a bother, but it would be nice later on to remove (after I remove the lights). Any good aftermarket hot start levers?

Thanks for all the input :)
