I need more power!

What do you guys suggest I do to get more lowend and mid range power. I am starting from a totally stock 400ex.

There's several things you can do to get more bottom to mid power. One of the cheapest things you can do is buy a 14t sprocket ($6-7 at Rocky Mountain). You could also use smaller tires, but then you would be sacrificing ground clearance, which the 400 is lacking already. If you want to spend a little more time & money, you could get a different cam. I think that Web has a bottom/mid cam, & TC Racing has one that focuses the power there as well (& there are other cams that will work, too). You could also get a higher compression piston (just remember that 11:1 or higher will require race fuel). Of course changing the pipe &/or silencer & air filter will give you more power everywhere, and there are exhaust systems that are designed to give you power where you want it. Have fun.
