Actually the proper wire to hook it it would be the Black/White wire. That is the one that the bike uses to kill the engine.

The long wire from the Pro Design kill switch attaches to the black/yellow wire.

Either will work but the bikes uses the Black/White to kill the engine so it makes more sense to use that one. Plus if you use the wire that the bike uses it is less likely to fail due to being shorted at the wrong wires.
Wiring to the coil is the easiest way. I did it according to the instructions and it blew fuses. I did it the way posted above and still blew fuses. C&D racing reccomended the coil and I did it as they said. No problems here.

If you were blowing fuses then you didn't have it right. If you do it the way I suggested then it should work fine. Hard to say what was up with it without looking at it.
I know I didn't have it right that's why it blew fuses. Wired it according to those directions and every other way I read about and it still blew fuses. The only way that worked was to wire it to the coil and it works perfect now.
