How long between oil changes???

I was just wondering how long I should go between oil changes on my 300EX? I do not race it but sometimes I ride it pretty hard. I do have an hour meter on it.

Depends on how often and how hard you ride it.I would say you can't change it to often.I would suggest an aftermarket oil cooler to help extend the life of your oil.I personally changed mine after a race(XC) or every weekend of hard trail riding.Use a quality oil also.

every 30-40 hours...i run mobile 1 2-w-50 synthetic red top...I dont think its necessary to change it before 10 hours unless you race or ride really hard...thats just wasting oil

I only change it after a couple months. and never had any problem. I have a 300 4X4 and we didn't change the oil in the last 4 years and I beat the sh*t out of it and it still runs really good. If you change it to often you will strip the treads.

Every 2 months or so with Mobile 1 15w-50 red cap:cool:

id say about every month or 2 depends on how much i ride it but i change it more often in the summer.

on my xr250r I changed it about every 4 offroad rides. I'm guessing about 200 miles. mine was street legal, so I rode it everywhere too. I found the motor ran real hot on belray, and honda oil. I used klotz 20/50 in summer and 10/14 in winter. I change the oil in my 250r every 4 rides. In general change your oil when it starts to lose its color, Old oil heats up faster and gives less protection.

I change the oil in my Polaris every 15-20 hours of ride time.

My Honda is a different story, I change that oil every 8-10 hours. In the mid summer months, ill change it every 6-8 hours.

on thee 250ex i change no later than every 20 hrs, usually i change every 15 hrs. i flog teh chit out of it, too.
