brake pads

i just bouhgt a set of brake pads for the rear i put them on my new 400ex...They are really nice but i have to apply alot of pressure to trigger the brakes. Do i just need to wear the brakes in?:confused:

no...i am almost %99 sure you have air in your lines....get the manual out to learn how to bleed them with easy pictures & stuff or make another post if you would like for some1 to explain it...you could aslo do a search on how to bleed rear brakes...it's really easy

yep I would say you need to bleed the brakes :)

When i get new pads sometimes i had to press harder to brake but i might be because the new pads are a different material that doesn't stop as good as the old ones. or the old ones were down to the metal and metal on metal is the best brake pad!
