Hey boys,
I just changed my engine and tranny oil after the first half a tank. Very soon but I just wanted to let you all you guys who are breaking in I found a ton of metal flakes and blue flakes on the filter. I am going to change oil and filter again after a full tank. I am breaking her in like I ride and avoiding pinning it. I just figured we all should invest in a couple more quarts of oil and filters and really getting everything to seat properly. Thanks for veiwing my post and responding. Ride it like you stole it. Ride it like you stole the hot chick sitting on the grab bar!:eek2:

I changed my oil after halph a tank of gas and had the same blue flakes in the filter. The oil was quite dark also during the change. I guess its normal for these bikes!

When I changed my oil after about a tank and a half there were no metal flakes or anything on the filter. The oil was just very dark.

Long time ago when I had a Warrior , same thing, brand new, fist oil change lots of metal, I freaked called the dealer and they said not to worry about it. I wasn't satisfied, I took them the filter, they told me to ride the thing and be happy, that was 8 years ago, I traded it for a Raptor in 01 with no problems, WISH I KEPT THE WARRIOR.
Just do your maintainence, you will be fine.

Nobody changed the oil before I got it. There just wasn't anything in the filter but I was expecting something. But nothing was on it.

Yeah,
Pretty much figured it was normal but wasn't expecting that many flakes. Oh well, keep it clean and ride it fast.
