400ex front end NEED HELP

Ok heres what i've done. Ive recently bought a 426ex from a racer but he took alot of thigs off it to put on his new racer like the whole front end. So heres what ive done. Ive been working with almost no money trying to get it where i can ride it. As some of you may understand my wife has put a stop to me spending money. So I bought some 400ex a-arms which is fine but where ive messed up is I bought 250x hubs and spindles which bolt up fine but the front wheels tilt out at the top alot so its opposite of what it should be. So I bought some adjustable ball joints for the bottom and cut the stock ones off but it's still way to short. I've got some 300ex upper a-arms I could put on which would probably fix the problem but its a cheesy way to do it not to mention its gonna make my front end very narrow. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know and remember the wife has put me on lockdown with money.

If it was that easy id have already done it but with 3 kids ive got to watch out what I do

Trade off one of the kids for a full roll design front end..:D j/k




I agree with Jeff in finding used arms on Ebay.. I would NOT put anything 300ex on there..:cool:

I can tell from looking at you guys that yall are probably pro racers and things might be a little easier for you to do but for me its not that easy even on ebay the whole hub set up is at least 200.00 and the aarms are even more. Yes ive been looking all over eaby for something but its just to expensive for me.

I don't know if you are interested but I'll sell a set of 400ex spindles for $70 shipped. The hubs you have will fit the 400 spindles. PM me if inbterested.

are you sure theyll fit they are hubs off an 87 250x ther not like the 300ex hubs?

I believe the 87 250x's have a different bolt pattern but will still bolt on to the same spindles as the newer 250x's and 300ex's. I had the 400ex spindles on my 01 300ex and everything fit fine.

Looking good but those are definately the wrong spindles. Let me know if you want them.

I can guarantee the spindles will correct that odd angle. The shaft on the 400 spindles should bolt directly to your hubs with no problems too.

That's a joke. I go to school in New Orleans but I am from Windham, OH - a little town near Hiram or Garrettsville or maybe you recognize Ravenna or Streetsboro better.
