I'd say you won't see many MX pro's runnin houser stuff because John doesn't call them up and say HERE run my stuff to prove to all riders that if a pro runs my products then you should too. They probably have to pay for his products and choose not too..:) I dont' blame them either.

Plenty of guys pound houser products in GNCC racing and I've yet to see any broken parts at all.

All products break including the godly walsh and roll products..:o

i have plowed in to the rock at wisp very hard with my houser a-arms and I know for a fact that have came out of it much better than my burgards, my buddies roll, and some leager that I saw. Houser has one the stongest products out there! I Have seen more quads with houser product on it in my life than any other brand. By far!!!!!

I've got Houser LT front and rear on my Z with the stem and absolutely love it. I've got houser +3 arms on my R and they are great too. Houser is one of the best out there and the best part is that it is also one of the most economical.

You can't go wrong with houser!

I just bought some Houser +3 arms for my Cannondale from Haydug Cycles. Doug is great to deal with and wouldn't sell you them if he hadn't beat the chit of them himself already and was happy with their performance. If you need Houser, give Doug a call! :macho

i run houser stuff (a arms, swingarm, and steering stem), and love them. ive crashed one time to where i broke a ball joint and bent the other, and the arms held up no problem. as for the swingarms breakin, i know of 2 people this has happened to. but i think that either was a early design or material, or they were unlucky. ive had my houser swingarm for 2 1/2 years, and no cracks, and no problems. so, when i do go long travel i will be buyin housers, or a leager protrax set-up if i can afford it.

How do Housers compare to JB, or maybe even Walsh? I was looking at those 3 brands specifically for my 450r; what would you guys recommend. I'd love to get a set of Laeger T-pins or maybe even Roll Designs, but they are just to dang expensive.

08-06-2004, 07:32 AM
I've done business with a LOT of companies including Walsh, Roll, LSR, and Houser and I garauntee that Houser has the best customer service I have ever seen! I have a complete Houser CRF that I purchased the frame and swingarm used and they were more than happy to help me out on any question I had. Erin is awesome and knows her stuff about quads unlike a couple other companies I know of.

Houser is top notch stuff. I dont know what some are talking about, but I see ALOT of houser on quads around here in OH. As far as JB Racing, I think they are superb and as good quality as Laeger. JB chassis parts seems to be the hot setup on alot of 450R's I have seen at the track. Lot of JB a-arms and swingarms as far as MX is concerned, not too sure about GNCC. With the new rear end Houser just came out with for the 450R (swingarm, shock, linkage, etc), I predict ALOT of people will be running that to cure the reported rear end problems of the stocker. Houser has been popular on EX's for a long time and now I see alot of people using those setups on their R's and YFZ's as well. I would DEFINITELY run Houser over LSR, especially since it is top quality and still priced great compared to the Walsh setup for example...

So I guess the real question I would love answered is: Which is better (and why), Houser or JB for a 450r?

08-06-2004, 01:07 PM
I"d say neither is better than the other.

It's up to you liking the price and look of the arms, but i woudn't say either is better than the other...

I run all houser and have no complaints nor had any braking issues..
