400EX fmf megamax II

Whats everyones opinion the fmf megamax II silencer for a 400EX? Loudness, power gains?

I have the megamax II slip on my 400ex with a uni you can feel a nice power gain.once i got my jetting right it was night and day over stock.If you run it wide open it's loud as hell sounds real deep :) if you use the disks it tones down.And if you use the quite O insert its near stock sound.Im happy with mine.Id buy one if i were you but thats mine opion.I know HMF sells a nice pipe also.just my 2 cents

I feel there are better slip ons out there. Does make a little diffrence but the gain are weak compared to the other pipes i had and it broke in about 6 months. FMF did replace it though.

consider other pipes, almost any other pipe.
you probably won't gain much of anything with it. my friend didn't anyways.

I would agree that there are a lot better slipons out there. I had a powercore 4/2 on mine for a while and I only noticed that it got louder. Plus I hated the clamp system on it. It really sucked.

well adleast you got a good deal on it, I used to have one, its not bad, gives pretty good bottom end. I'd agree with everyone else though, concider something else unless all you want is a real quiet machine with a little power gain.-darren

For $80.00 I think it's fair. I wouldn't go out and get one brand new, but it is better than the stock as far as power gains go. I got my Mega max for $50.00 and a beer. I want a new pipe, but for the price I can't complain too much.

Thats kinda how i felt... i just got the 4 wheeler and was looking for something fairly cheap and a little louder than stock.. later i'll get the one that i want :)
