Ok, I have a little problem. I run a 155 main jet with my 400EX(see sig) right now. I want to run a 160 but the guy who owned it before me said it wouldn't run right with the 160 unless he took the airbox lid off. I was wondering, is there anything I can do to my airbox lid or anything else that will make it run the jet without degrading performance? Because I don't want to take the airbox lid off unless I absolutely have to. Thanks in advance.

a 155 with lid on??? that sounds pretty rich already is this dyno jets or kelin. if dyno you should be running a 146 at most.

Did you look at my sig at the mods? The guy who sold it to me told me it had a 155 K&N in it. I pretty sure that's what it is because I have the 145 and it's not in the 400.

your sig says 155 main jet. it doesn't specify keihin or dynojet. just because you run a K&N filter doesn't mean you run dynojets.

You could drill holes in the lid, cut or remove the snorkel, or install a couple of TPI valves. They're $20 at www.thunderproducts.com (http://www.thunderproducts.com)

why do u want to jet up? is it running lean now? if its running fine now, adding a bigger jet will make it richer so u have to lean it out to counter it by increasing the air flow=taking your air box lid off.

Ok that's what I was looking for!!! Thank you very much. Those TPI valves look pretty slick. Might get some of those. BTW, I use DYNOJETS!!! I thought I already said that but I guess not.
