I've recently got a hold of a YZF426 motor, and looking to install it in a chassis. Originally, I thought I would install it in my stock, gusseted EX frame. Now, I'm debating whether or not I should use my gusseted stocker and modify it, or go all out and buy a used aftermarket frame already designed for the 426 motor.
I'm unsure on what to do. I already have the stock EX frame, but I could get a Houser frame w/suframe, no-link swingarm, and no-link PEP ZPS shock for around $2K. What do you think I should do? Is it worth the extra money for the aftermarket, or should I go with the stocker? Which would be better in the long-run? Thanks.
