Need computer help

Somewhere along the way, I picked up sometype of bug on my computer that continually allows those dayum pop-ups. I installed a pop up killer but would like to know if there is a program out there that detects the bug I have and eliminate it.

I also have spybot and did a clean up of that and the pop up scenario is still there.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Also try ad-aware, I have found that ad-aware finds things that spy-bot doesn't and visa-versa. With ad-aware make sure you run the update before you scan.

Ive found all though u have downloaded the pop up blocker if u have dial up the pop ups are worse then with DSL or Cable...Is what i did for my moms computer is got Norton Internet security from Costco and it only allows maybe 1 or 2 popups ever 2 days or so...So it cut them way down atleast...
