What kinda top end kit dosen't

what kinda top end gasket kit dosen't come with a valve cover gasket. all these parts i need for my quad that i thought would come with my marcums kit didn't. this is really pissing me off that every other day i have to run to honda for more parts.

yeah I was pissed too. I ended up just putting the old one back on. It's metal, so it's not like it fell apart. Then I had my torque wrench set to 17lbs of torque and I didn't fell it give. Busted one of the valve cover bolts. $7 dollars more and 3-5 business days until it gets here. What a kick in the nads.......

i was gonna use silicon but ut would throw my valve lash off.i hop i can find my old one

No gasket, ie.. silicone sealer, probably wouldn't leave enough cam bearing clearance. Most top end gasket kits don't come with a cylinder cover gasket. Only the one center (largest) cover bolt gets torqued down to 17 ft-lbs. All the smaller ones are 7 ft-lbs. The service manual is only referring to the large center bolt - kind of misleading if you're not paying attention.
