got to finally see some 450r's on the trails!

well im not that impressed, ive heard everyone say that a built 440 done right by a rep company like spraks for example could not hang with a stock 450r, 1st encounter last sat., we were out riding on some new trails i had just been told about really good place alot of gas lines and powerlines and nice terraced hills that u can jump up just some fun riding, so we meet up with a guy on a 400ex and a guy on a 450r , my 400 the only motor mods are a curtis sparks degree key and a uni filter, so he had a race down this gasline and u tun right and there was an up hill onto a powerline well it was just me and the R b/c i wanted to see what it had, Yes i expected him to kill me off the line,but he never got more tan 1.5-2 quad lenghts ahead on thre 1st part of where we was racing , i expected it to jump all over me, now the next part is rider im sure but i had caught him and passed him before we made it to the pwerline, i passed him on the hill, but i figured he should have easily held me off
OK im chalking this one up as this guy cant ride, the only thing in my favor there was my tcs shocks and i have a steering dampner, so im not giving this any weight , besides he didnt kill me off the line and he seemed to be able to drag race as least so anyway
2nd incident sunday the next day i go riding with some of my friend and one of my best friends brother got a 450r and i know he can ride was contstantly getting beat in a drag with a raptor but quads have full pipes, about equal mods so we had a xc track ,now me and the guy on the raptor race xc so we are better suited for this but the start of the track is over 250 yds drag race, he got out on my with a piped 450r about 2 quad lengths or so and never pulled off more than that, but needlessly to say the 450r came in last , but this guy can ride and rides this track more than me and by buddy with the raptor

Im not saying anything that a 400ex is as fast or faster than an R dont get it twisted i just dont think they are all they are cracked up to be as of yet, they may be id like to get some ride time on one for a whole day and i would know but i still dont think its going to be alot faster than a quality built 440

he's from mobile its alot bigger down there right now with the mud riding but the sport side is catching on

nack to where i was riding its outside b-ham a little ways in hueytown kinda its great just found it from where we park if u go one way there are 2 powerlines that run parallel and alot of trails on over 5,000 acres, then if u go the other way ity goes thru gas lines and wooded trails to some slate dumps, let me say this igota 4.3 ims tank and i had to go to a store and get gas b/c it quit i barely made it there on reserve, best polace ive ever been to ride at, want to ge let me know we are going back a week from sat. on 3-20 then on the 28th we are going tio maplesville fo the fun run

Alright, disregard my last PM brandonpeake, I managed to change my flight leaving CO to an earlier one, so I will be able to make it 3/20 to go riding with ya'll. How do you want to meetup. Also, I may have a few riding budies that will want to tag along.
