Elka or Axis, Which one ya all think is best?
Axis look like they cost a wee bit more than the Elks, are they better?
Might need em when I do the Roll Front end and Swinger.

I dont have any experience with the 450r stuff but I had works triple rates and then switched to adjustable 0 preload triple rate elkas what a world of a difference and then got a good deal on custom axis fully adjustables and have to say they blow my elkas away. I love them

Axis and PEP are the top of the line as far as suspension goes, but you pay a PREMIUM to get them. If you can live without rebound adjustment, they aren't too bad. My brother has Elkas on his YFZ and they are very nice, too. My suggestion is, if you can afford the Axis, go for it.

ive had both....and for the differences id say go elka. elkas can be ordered with rebound adj. if needed but in all honesty for the average joe its not a must have.

Pappy- You ordered a set of Elka's that you filled out the build sheet for right? I just did one myself and I'm wondering how they're going to turn out. I'm guessing it's all based on whether or not I measured correctly. Have you been happy with yours though?
Thanks in advance for any feedback:D

I know a quadshop near Bowling Green, KY( can't say) that sells a lot of Elka shocks. He pushes them because the profits are greater over the Axis. But, guess what are on his National quads, Custom Axis;)

I am not talking about Jeff or the Quad shop! They are not the only quadshop in KY. Easy on those paint fumes:rolleyes:

Bill would not know who "Z400ACDC" is:p I think it is funny thay some of you are walking up to him and asking, LOL If it bothers you that bad, next time you are near Bowling Green, let me know and I will take you over for a tour. It is no big deal, he is a man with a cool job, not Jesus.

I also have this question(am getting a 450r), axis or elka, i have 400ex with triple rate axis dual adjust and they are awesome , no problems and lasted forever. I also heard the quad rates are awesome. And the new rear linkage for the elkas gives you more travel with the roll swingarm. Do they both give the same amount of travel or does one give more?

i agree, ive owned both and my axis blew my elkas away....i have also had works suspension set up for the woods, and would rather ride on works than elka any day. Now for the track i would rather have elkas than works. But i would still want axis over anything, any terrain, these shocks are unexplainably awesome!

Theres been too many axis votes in a row, so i vote Elka. I run them on my R and I love them. I cant say anything about axis cause I haven't ever rode anything with them. But Elka is without a doubt a great shock. It's cheaper and the wait isn't very long, if your not a die hard racer I would look into Elka
