installing a new carb

Ok i think i may be getting a lectron 38mm carb. are there any tricks or special things i would have to do to make it fit on a z400? would i have to get a new cable or would the stock one fit?

any info would be nice, thanks

I know the setup on a 400ex is POS and the carb needs removed and cleaned every 5 hours or so of use...:rolleyes: I'd never own one even if it was given to me..:eek2:

The slide wants to stick and cause the throttle to stick open,, NOT GOOD.

I have no experience with them on a Z at all so it might be perfect but they are truly a POS on a 400ex. Topend carb also,, bottom end sucks. It's highly possible it puts out more HP than a FCR but the FCR is a good product that wasnt' designed on a monday morning after a super bowl party...:o

Have you found any info on one at Z400 cental????
