440's necessary

I had the time of my life in a little town named Casey, Illinois. I run a Duncan 440, 39MM fcr, shorty lrd. I have got some suspension too. Anyway...
Saturday they wouldn't let us on the track so we played on the trails and hillclimb. Nice variety of terrain, but wet from rain on Friday.
Sunday we raced.
1st moto I was 4th out of the hole. I held that and passed a wrecked racer. I finished 3rd.
2nd moto I held on to the gas until everyone else let off. There was one guy in B who checked out of the crowd, gone. I held 2nd for 2.5 laps when I had carb issues. I made that yfz450 work to get around me. I took the inside line on everything, but eventually the track opened up and 2nd and 3rd took off past me. My buddy Brian went down there with me and caught up shortly there after. I nursed it for the rest of the race. I mean until I saw a raptor a few hundred yards back. I was on it from there. I was wondering if it was going to blow up, nope. I finished 5th in that race, and also overall.
Beautiful weather, nice long national track, good track prep, friendly locals, all in all a good experience.
I am going back before the national there. Anybody on here race there?
