300ex parts on a 400 frame???

i have a chance to get my hands on a 400ex frame really cheap and i was wondering if i could swap all my parts from the 300ex to the 400 frame

i don't plan on putting the 300 motor in there i will be doing something else but will shocks, a arms, swing arm yadda yadda yadda all swap over? or will i run into problems with the swaingarm being to short or anything like that?

before people ask i am doing this because of the strenght advantages of the 400 frame over the 300 and i plan on putting a 250r or other motor in the frame

any positive comments or suggestions are more than welcome
but please no bashing post i will take constructive critism

the front end will fit but don't do it. use the 400ex front end. it you don't have ot get one. cause the 300ex front end sucks.

ok point taken, but why does it suck? less travel, weaker?


what if i decided to switch every single thing to the 400ex frame would it work?

It sucks because 300ex arms are about a inch an a half narrower.

why?? cause you would have a very narrow 400ex:confused:
