white smoke

Does anyones 400EX ever smoke a little(white smoke) when they first start it and rev it? Mine has no spark arrester if this matters and had a trinity complete exuast. I doesent feel like it needs to be rebuilt.

Have ya ever thought that it is cold out and that it might be like your breath when it cold out. Mine does it when it is cold?

mine will do it when i first start it and when i was it cause sometimes water goes through the holes in my air box cover and soaks the filter now i put a rag in there just in case

well, i heard this smewear, but if u run ur bike lean, the piston expands, scratchi the cilinder wall, oil leaks, and somewhere in ther, white smoke comes out.

white "smoke" is water vapor. since the engine is air cooled, the water must be coming from the air, just like you breath when it's cold. don't worry about it.

oil= blue smoke
fuel= black smoke

[R-Crazy]

if it was from oil, it would be blue.
